“Follow Spain’s Lead. Close Your Airspace to America’s Illegal War!”

On March 30, 2026, Spain made a decision that should serve as a blueprint for every nation that still believes in the rule of law. Noble Spanish government officially closed its airspace to American and Israeli military aircraft involved in the ongoing war against Iran. This was not an act of hostility toward the United States. It was an act of fidelity to international law… You see, as the world watches the conflict in the Middle East escalate, Spain has emerged as Europe’s most "hard-line" voice of conscience. But why is this necessary? And why should other nations—including your own—follow Madrid’s example immediately?
Because American and Israeli aggressions against Iran is illegal so allowing your territory to be used to wage an illegal war makes your Country a co-participant in the crime. To understand why Spain’s action is not just politically brave but legally necessary, we must revisit the basic architecture of the post-World War II order: the United Nations Charter because Article 2(4) of the UN Charter is the cornerstone of modern international law and it states that all members shall refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, so in simple terms, countries are not supposed to attack other countries unless specific conditions are met and there are only two legal exceptions to this rule under the Charter:

1. Self-Defense (Article 51): When a nation suffers an "armed attack," it has the right to use force in self-defense until the Security Council acts….

2. Security Council Authorization: When the UN Security Council votes to authorize the use of force….

Neither exception applies to the US-Israeli campaign against Iran, which began on February 28, 2026…

Legal experts around the world have been unequivocal. The International Bar Association reported that international lawyers and national security experts say the attack "highlights a significant lack of legal justification for the use of force" . Mary Ellen O’Connell, a professor at the University of Notre Dame, stated bluntly that the attack "had no justification under international law," noting that vague mentions of "imminent threats" do not satisfy the requirements of the Charter. As Leila Sadat, a former member of the IBA War Crimes Committee Advisory Board, put it: "There are only two exceptions to the prohibition on the use of force... Neither one of them applied in this case... What we’re left with is just a war of choice launched by two states.” The justifications offered by the Trump the Forrest Gump administration—ranging from "cumulative threats" to concerns about Iran’s nuclear program—have been rejected by scholars because they do not constitute an "armed attack" that would trigger the right to self-defense… So what do I think of brave Spaniards closing their Air Space to USA Air Fags?

Spain’s decision is significant for a practical reason: geography. The Iberian Peninsula sits on a critical transit route between the United States and the Middle East and Initially, Spain denied the US permission to use the naval bases at Rota and Morón de la Frontera for attacks on Iran but when American Nazi Fourth Reich reportedly wanted to station B-1 and B-52 bombers in Spain, Madrid refused! Then, on March 30, they went further, closing the entire national airspace to any US or Israeli military aircraft involved in the conflict! Bueno, mucho bueno!

"We do not participate in or support a war that was unilaterally launched and violates international law," said Spanish Economy Minister Carlos Cuerpo.”

Defense Minister Margarita Robles did not mince words, calling the war "extremely illegal and extremely unjust" .

From a military standpoint, this complicates US operations. Bombers and support aircraft flying from bases in the UK or elsewhere in Europe can no longer take the most efficient routes to their targets in Iran. They must now fly around Spain, and by my calculations, their flying around Spain is adding hours to their missions and is straining their logistical resources…

But Spain is not alone. In early March, Switzerland—a nation famous for its neutrality—rejected two US military overflight requests linked to the war in Iran. Citing its "law of neutrality," the Swiss government stated that it must prohibit overflights by parties to a conflict that pursue a military purpose.

While Switzerland’s context is different (it is not a NATO member), its logic aligns with the same principle: if the war is illegal, facilitating it through overflight rights is an act of complicity which is what I stated when I begun this post.

This brings me to the legal argument for why every nation should consider closing their airspace. International law is not just for the combatants. The way I see it is that those not involved in the fighting—have an obligation not to aid or assist an illegal American and Israeli aggression because when a nation allows its territory to be used by another state to perpetrate an act of aggression, that allowance may justify defensive force against it. Conversely, the host nation is facilitating a breach of international peace so in my opinion, when a country allows US warplanes to refuel at its airports, or even just transit through its skies on the way to bomb Iran, it is arguably providing material support to an act of aggression. Under the doctrine of state responsibility, this could even make that country complicit in the violation of the UN Charter and Spain recognized this. The United Kingdom, by contrast, agreed to allow the US to use British bases for strikes on Iran but this arrangement "would appear to be unlawful" because "the United Kingdom cannot aid or assist in the commission" of an act of aggression and since it did, it is aiding illegal war against Iran and Iranians have every right to strike fuckin British American ass kissers!

Spain’s "hard-line" stance meanwhile, is not about being anti-American. It is about being pro-law. It is a refusal to accept that “American might makes right" doctrine that seems to be prevailing in global politics. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez framed it perfectly when he said: "This is an absurd and illegal war. A cruel war that prevents us from achieving our economic, social, and environmental goals... Every bomb that falls in the Middle East hits the wallets of ordinary families" so for nations that claim to value the international rules-based order, the question is no longer academic. Will you allow your airports and your airspace to be used to facilitate a war that violates the UN Charter?

Every country that hosts US military assets—whether in the Gulf region, Europe, or Asia—must ask themselves whether they are willing to be dragged into a conflict that has no legal foundation.
If the United States and Israel are determined to continue this war, they should do so without the logistical support of nations that respect the law. Spain has shown the way and now it is time for the rest of the world to follow….

Close the skies! Respect the Charter! End the complicity!

ADIOS Air Fags of USA!
