But beneath the surface of these headline-grabbing statistics lies a more insidious method of killing in United States, and that’s intentional poisoning….
While poisoning represents a tiny fraction of officially recorded homicides, I being a DATA GURU if not “GOD,” believe the true number may be significantly higher and that is because it remains unknown how many of the seventy thousand plus annual accidental and self-inflicted poisonings are actually homicides in disguise…. I want you to remember these words; “homicide in disguise…” I just revealed to you how sophisticated assasinations and murders are carried out…
My quickie post will not reveal what I know, but I will instead examine what FBI data reveals about intentional poisoning as a homicide method and how its use differs dramatically between male and female perpetrators…
What the American FBI data shows is that poisoning is a remarkably rare murder method according to their “Uniform Crime Reporting Program” and their “Supplemental Homicide Reports.”
Actually, American g-fags got this wrong… You see, even Sicilian Mafia learned to carry out murders from corrupt federal DEA Agents in Eastern District of New York, and for the past twenty six years, Sicilian Mafia has been using Carcinogens as a weapon…
That stated, back from DEA to the FBI as both of these American federal Agencies share concurrent Jurisdiction powers in all drug related matters… In 2010, the FBI recorded only eleven poisoning homicides out of twelve thousand nine hundred and ninety six total murders, which is just zero point zero eight four percent of all homicides… Federal g-pigs suck ass at detection of these types of homicides, lol!

The CDC reports approximately sixty six thousand accidental poisoning deaths and six thousand poisoning suicides annually, yet only about one hundred are classified as homicides. Experts suggest at least some of those seventy thousand plus poisonings are undetected homicides. As one analysis put it, covert violence tends to be the sort nobody sees coming, and it may take weeks, months, or even years before investigators are persuaded to examine a case more closely.
Perhaps the most striking finding from FBI data is the gender disparity in poison use. Women are seven times more likely than men to use poison as a murder weapon. Analyzing FBI “Supplemental Homicide Report” data from 1999 to 2012, which covered one hundred ninety five thousand five hundred seventy eight murder cases, reveals the following pattern.
Men commit approximately ninety percent of all murders while women commit about ten percent. Among all murderers, men use poison in roughly zero point three five percent of their cases, whereas women use poison in about two point five percent of their cases. When removing gun murders from the equation entirely, women are almost four times as likely as men to use poison, employed in just over one percent of killings by men versus over four percent of killings by women.
Why do women choose poison so disproportionately? Psychologists and criminologists point to several underlying factors. Women often kill in ways that do not cause immediate death, allowing them to maintain emotional distance from the act of intentional murder….
Poison permits the perpetrator to avoid witnessing blood, wounds, or the victim's final moments.. Think about it…. No blood!
And… Because women typically kill people they know, such as family members, partners, or those in their care, poison becomes a weapon of “proximity and trust.” American Criminologists have long documented that women often kill for financial gain. Now for the counterintuitive twist. In raw numbers, more men kill with poison than women do, simply because men commit ninety percent of all murders. My FBI analysis of their “Supplementary Homicide Reports” from the nineteen nineties developed a preliminary profile of the male homicidal poisoner. The typical male poisoner is a young white male between the ages of twenty and thirty four. Seventy five percent of them used drugs or narcotics rather than chemical agents. Unlike female poisoners, men who use poison are more likely to target people outside their immediate family, with sixty three percent of cases involving non family victims. Men use poison less frequently on a proportional basis because they have access to and preference for more immediate and violent methods. Firearms are used in two thirds of male homicides, and men also show greater preference for blunt force, beating, and strangulation. Poison requires patience, access, and trust, qualities that align more with the typical circumstances of female perpetrators.
The victim data from poisoning homicides reveals a disturbing and intimate pattern. From 2000 to 2010, poisoning homicide victims included twenty one sons, thirteen wives, twelve daughters, eight husbands, and seven others. The vast majority of poisoning cases involve one killer and one victim who knew each other well. Poison is overwhelmingly a crime of intimate relationships!
Intentional poisoning also presents unique challenges for prosecution. Delayed symptoms mean victims may die days or weeks after exposure, complicating the link to the perpetrator. Poisoning symptoms often resemble heart attacks, strokes, or other natural causes, which makes it easy for investigators to overlook foul play. Police departments that are already stretched thin tend to prioritize overt violence over deaths that appear natural. Furthermore, many poisons are difficult to detect post mortem without specific toxicology screens, and those screens are not routinely ordered for every natural seeming death so when a Nursing home patient checks out, toxicology report is a no no! Also, if a patient checks out at a Hospital, they died of whatever the doctor says not what toxicology report states because there is no toxicology report post mortem in Acute, Geriatric, or Acute Geriatric environment..
You see, the FBI data tells a story that Intentional poisoning represents a tiny fraction of officially recorded homicides, less than zero point five percent of all murders.
