A laminated poster with aluminum foil can block microwaves while remaining see-through. A Faraday cage is an enclosure of conductive material that blocks electromagnetic fields. For it to work, the conductive enclosure must be continuous. Gaps, seams, and holes can let radiation through. A screen can work if the holes are small enough relative to the wavelength. At 95 gigahertz, the wavelength is 3.2 millimeters. A screen with holes smaller than that will attenuate the beam.
