I am MULTI LINGUAL x7 currently and will make my Bible software available in 2000 languages so just getting started — but 2000 is just scratching the surface because on our planet Earth TODAY in “2025” there are 7,159 living languages in the world… However, this number is dynamic and represents a snapshot of a constantly changing linguistic landscape which majority of people FAIL to TAKE into account mistakenly presuming that human languages never die… While there are thousands of languages, a small number account for a large portion of the world's speakers so my following table lists the top 10 languages by total number of speakers (including both native and second-language speakers) based on 2025 data from Ethnologue. How unfortunate that Trump and his ultra-nationalist supporters mistakenly believe that all humans on Earth are criminals UNLESS they speak English… The exact number is difficult to pin down because as a linguist you must distinguish between languages and dialects, which can be a matter of social and political distinction — as much as linguistic difference. Furthermore, data can be incomplete or outdated for some regions depending on how many idiots gathered it? Furthermore, linguistic diversity is not evenly distributed. For example, Papua New Guinea alone is home to over 800 languages, while Europe has fewer than 300…. My concern is that about 44% of the world's languages are endangered, often with fewer than 1,000 speakers especially due to the fact that a language disappears every two weeks — and many could be lost by the end of this century so idiots who have an idiosyncratic relationship with linguistic truth need to TRAVEL THE WORLD more often…
